Run the Jewels’ Killer Mike and El-P love their fans, but when they’re performing live, they’d prefer if the audience stayed off stage.
Apparently, the guy who hopped onstage Monday (Mar. 16) and tried to attack the duo during their SXSW performance didn’t get the memo.
Viral video footage of the incident, which took place at the SXSW Spotify House, shows the would-be assailant brushing past Killer Mike and going for El-P.
Once security got wind of what was going on, they quickly dismantled the random intruder and ushered him off stage and out of the area.
Killer Mike, of course, had some choice parting words for the stage crasher.
“Get the f–k outta here, bitch ass!” he said before resuming the show.
Surprisingly, the man was not arrested because police did not see the attempted assault.
El-P took to Twitter later to explain what happened in greater detail.
real shit that dude who attacked us is highly unstable/volatile + wandering around sxsw talking to himself apparently. be careful out there.
