It’s no secret that Demi Lovato is a huge fan of Kelly Clarkson.
Like how big? I mean, she admitted that when she was younger her screename was “Little Kelly” and even tweeted that teaming up with the “Heartbeat Song” singer would be a “dream collaboration” for her.

And while the two did share the stage at a 2011 Christmas show, we still wondered whether Demi’s dream would ever come true. Well, it turns out it nearly did.
“We almost got to work together, but I was pregnant and she had asked me to sing, I totally was down, but it just didn’t work out,” Kelly explained this week to MTV News. “She was touring, I was super pregnant and not feeling well and it didn’t work out this time, but it totally will. … I love her; she’s so sweet. Every time we see each other, she’s always like, ‘Kelly Clarkson, she’s so nice, and so awesome, we’re both Texans.’ ”
Demi is currently working on her fifth album, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for a Kelly/Demi collab, but if that doesn’t work out the “Neon Lights” singer has another duet partner in mind: Eminem.

“I would love to work with Eminem actually,” Demi told “Entertainment Tonight.” “I can relate to him with being in recovery and things like that so I think we could make something awesome together.”
