New York, NEW YORK — Things got real nasty before the start of the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday,(Feb. 15).
Nasty Nas, that is.
Following an intro that included Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” and Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind,” Christina Aguilera brought out the Queens native at Madison Square Garden for a performance of his similarly-titled track, “N.Y. State of Mind,” off of his 1994 debut album, Illmatic.
The veteran MC was treated to a proper welcome by the hometown crowd, as roaring fans set the tone for the live rendition of his lyrical tour de force.

Esco has had a busy All-Star Weekend, as he performed on Friday at Irving Plaza in Manhattan alongside Drake.
That was just the start of the musical entertainment for the evening, though: Ariana Grande is slated to perform at halftime of the game.
